Unstaffed retail is the fastest-growing format in Europe — and the most under-served by traditional security. EasyXit closes that gap with Vision AI, a software layer trained exclusively on real footage from the stores we serve.

/ Why now

Unstaffed stores went mainstream. Security didn't follow.

24/7 unstaffed convenience stores are opening everywhere. Operators install cameras because compliance requires it — then nobody reviews the footage. Shrinkage is written off. Repeat offenders walk in week after week with no record connecting them.

Traditional CCTV vendors don't fit. Their models were trained on staffed-retail data: clerks behind counters, security guards in frame, lighting set up for humans. Unstaffed stores look nothing like that. That's why we built our own.

Our detection model is trained solely on real video from unstaffed convenience environments — the exact same lighting, camera angles, fish-eye distortion and behaviour patterns you see in your store. No public datasets, no staged actors, no synthetic augmentation.

    Identified the gap

    Spent months inside unstaffed stores watching the same pattern: cameras recording, no one reviewing, shrinkage written off as a cost of doing business.

    Curated the dataset

    Built a focused video dataset from real unstaffed convenience environments — the exact lighting, angles, and behaviours our models need to recognise.

    Trained the models

    Iterated detection models on concealment, loitering, group coordination, and after-hours entry. Tuned to reduce noise, not miss signal.

    Iteration with operators

    Worked shoulder-to-shoulder with store operators to refine reports, severity scoring, and the daily report format.
